Dear Public Consumer:
I come to you as a humble, lowly clothing retail associate. I realize that my position is solely based on your participation in my store and I appreciate that you come through such great lengths to come in and see what new things we have to offer. I also realize that I am here to help you find what you are looking for, or at least something that catches your eye. I am here to serve you; in a way.
However. I am not on this planet to pick up after you. If a product falls on the floor, have the common decency to pick it up and replace it at least in some resemblance of where it came from. If you opt to not buy the 400 outfits that you have tried on, that's fine. You don't even need to replace them, I will do it. (And actually I would prefer it if you didn't.)
In spite of that, some prefer to leave their no longer potential purchases in the dressing room... on the hanger, inside out. Now, explain to me why you go through the whole effort of putting it BACK on the hanger if you aren't putting it on the right way. My favorite thing is to walk into a dressing room and find a huge mess of a pile of clothes on the floor. Thank you customer. Now, you may be one of the masses who might just say.. well, it's their job. I apologize for that asinine assumption. Where I am happy to help you with whatever you ask (within reason of the store), I think it's rude and disrespectful of me and the time I also need to spend helping all the other customers and cleaning and organizing the store to pick up after your dumping ground. I find it particularly offensive when I open up the dressing room for another customer to find a mess of clothes strewn in that small space. The only thing I can compare it to, and this is what I honestly think of, is going into a bathroom stall to find someone had taken a dump and decided against flushing.
I realize that this may ring on deaf ears OR will not be read by those who need to hear it, but it doesn't stop me from speaking against this behavior. It's infuriating to pick up after people of all ages and most of which should know better. (I won't even mentioned the ************'s that continuously steal.) I will carry on serving under this command and will continuously clean up after you, but realize that there is a person behind the Vanity name plate who doesn't appreciate it when you take a dump in the dressing room.

Yours Affectionately,

ari

When I grow up.. I want THIS HOUSE.. (or one kinda sorta like it) I went to help Kj with some things today and we went to some relation of hers- house and I was in AWE and WONDER and the majesty of this place. SO beautiful..
(please take note, that these are taken with my CELL PHONE-- so they aren't for quality.. it's for reference point)

And THEN: Where do the kids take me? Oh here.. A magical world of secret passageways and mysterious doorways that look like just a plain old wall- that opens up to a passage to another room. Umm.. I giggled like a child and just couldn't get enough. This is what I imagined when I was younger as a perfect house. I have always ALWAYS been fascinated by the prospect of mysterious hidden rooms.. Oh be still my heart.

And yes.. I realize that we aren't supposed to covet and all that.. But I can admire the majesty and want something LIKE it.. right?

To my beautiful friend! You have finally reached the end!

Kj, one of my dearest friends in the world (finally) graduated from BYUI yesterday! Congratulations! I am so glad that we are relatively close together now.
it was a beautiful beginning.
Let the celebrating commence! BOOZE ALL AROUND!

I love you, my Anne-girl.

So let's see..
I have gotten to my second week of being the assistant manager for the store i am working.. full time and all that. I am completely stoked, not gonna lie. however.. i had been looking forward to wednesday (yesterday) because i just wanted to stay in bed and sleep.. all day long. I have gotten sick (cold and asthma crap) so i wanted the day to just chill. i wanted to avoid the store at all cost. but i did get a phone call from a girl at work.. her daughter was in the hospital and couldn't work, and no other associate would answer or could. (boo!) i had no problem covering for her, but alas.. i really hadn't wanted to work, especially since the world was spinning. (morgan told me that i swayed when i stood still.) hilarious thing of the evening? i was helping this guy and girl with some stuff, and it was no big deal, until i was helping the guy and he told me that he was a cross dresser. (oh.. i wouldn't have guessed..) It was a long day and morgan switched the schedule around so that i wouldn't have to go to work until 330. however.. once again i ended up going in at 1 cause of mayhem in the store.. boo. it's only 2 1/2 hours but i had intended on doing grocery shopping. (i have none.. i have soup, but no can opener.. and thats just about it.) we have been doing a really good job on sales, which i am totally stoked about. i rock socks. but the other day i had this total wig out moment cause this woman came in with 2 pairs of pants (no tags and no receipt). can i remind you that the policy on returns is with tags and receipt. i ended up letting her do the trade in but wouldnt be able to return these pants at all.. ever.. (boo hiss evil lady) anyway. this same lady came in today to buy some shirts and came to the cash stand. I am trying to be as polite as possible even though i really despise this woman. as i finish the sale, i say the standard, "would you like the receipt with you or in the bag." she proceeds to tell me that she thinks its so annoying that at every store they ask that.. (what?). (heaven forbid that she answer this simple question.. imagine what it's like having to say it 100 times a day you crazy crazy fiend)
i am crazy tired.. boo

So can you mix horrendous and fantastic together? today was the BILLBOARD for those two adjectives. Let me tell you, my day did not start out well... Firstly cause i worked by myself for the first 4 1/2 hours alone. It got kinda crazy. I had to juggle all the customers in the store and help this one woman who wanted easter outfits for her daughters. JUGGLE.

 I never learned to juggle.

Anyway.. besides the juggling, this same lady came in at some point cause one of the items hadnt rung up as half price.. Why? Cause the morons that put the sku number on one of her products was ONE NUMBER OFF. There was this whole frenzy of mayhem that ensued with this.. And not knowing what to do with this product that she apparently wanted desperately. So that was craziness. I also realized that i had to work with this one girl... I'll call her.. Paige. I would hate to say she is as smart as a pile of bricks, but sometimes I wonder. Especially when I have to tell her again and again the same information. (shes worked there since november) And then to top it off, instead of greeting the customer and telling them about whatever sale is going on.. she goes up mechanically.. like a freaking robot and says- HI YA'LL... we-are-having-a-sale-on-our-shirts........... buy-one-get-next-half-off.?--- By the time she gets through this ordeal the customer is staring at her in disbelief because it took so long to spit out and the way she said it, that they almost bolt. Poor suckers.
And you wanna know the icing on the cake? I am standing there talking to Morgan (my boss/rockin cool friend) and I see this lady standing on the bench of the dressing room telling me she is locked in.. SHE WAS LOCKED IN THE DRESSING ROOM... i couldnt open it.. i tried and tried. She ended up somehow climbing over the stall and down. (i was torn between laughing hysterically and apologizing profusely) I told her that they never briefed me on what kind of discount they might give on "i'm sorry you got locked in our dressing room."

But do you want to know what made it rockin awesome? First- i need to explain that the higher ups decide what our projected sales are for the day and we need to meet them or else they get super upset. Today their projected whatever was around $730? around there. But we made day around 3 or 4.. (which i was totally stoked about bytheway) and by the time we closed our register at 9 pm, it was doubled. thats right folks.. doubled. And i made like $1200 worth of sales. I did a jig inside. And Morgan came in at some point which was good cause she got me food and i was starving-- and then.. the world went crazy.. i was talking fast and crazy-like and was chipper.. more than normal.. probably cause i knew the end was coming.. not the end of the world but the end of the night, besides me rockin the sales floor.
take that flipper

i need to find my gadget to post more pictures from Holi.
