Happy Birthday Dad

Today is my dear old dads birthday.

Sometimes when people talk about their dads, it kinda stings. I forget sometimes..
It's especially painful when my heart is already hurting. It's a moment of, oh you don't realize how good you have it.
That off-handed remark..
The little threat that your dad gives your boyfriend..
Him asking her dad for her hand.

Going to him for advice. 

That damned father-daughter dance.

I'm analyzing. My brain isn't always here. Just now. I get lost in the missing.
His hugs, his laugh, his smell.

But I am reminded that I have a father who loved me fully. I never questioned it. He was always there for me.

My teacher,
my greatest supporter,
my friend.

Some people don't have that at all, ever.

And I had it for 13.5 solid years.

Something I never supposed

Uhmmm. I am a flirt. A really big stinkin' flirt.

I am both amused and alarmed by this.

WHAT THE WHAT!? I have to be up in 6 hours.

Things that annoy me beyond belief:

When people speak another language in a group setting so that they can carry on their own private conversations and exclude.

The whole Ordain Women movement.

The "Let it Go" song from Frozen. In ALL of its forms. Seriously. I'm so sick of it I could vomit.



Things I LOVE because I should end on an upper:

General Conference and the fact that I have it in printed form in my hand at this moment. WAH-BAM

The fact that I talk to my best friend just about every day. *snicker

The men of my current acquaintance. Even when they tease, mock, and frustrate me beyond belief. Luf.

That ridiculous game I downloaded YESTERDAY called 2048? Oh my gosh it's so addicting. Suddenly that bus ride condensed greatly.

Sleep.
