Alrighty.

So I just realized in my frenzy to reveal all my deep dark secrets, I forgot to mention what was going ON! (I know that the anticipation is killing you, so I will refrain from making it last too long.... )

ANYWAY. The BIGGEST OF BIG NEWS!

I QUIT PAYLESS!!
BAM!! Take thaaat! For those of you that haven't been around me for the last 6 months- at least.. you might not know of my hatred for working here. Not really for the company- but for my crazy boss. She pretty much drove everyone of us crazy and we (yes i am using all of us as a whole) really just despised her and working for her. She was rude, lazy, and someone I seriously cannot stand. I am not going to go into much detail about her, but just know this was a good move.. So now I am now down to my ONE job at Michaels which I think will satisfy life for the summer. And then I will hopefully be able to either get a second job for fall OR hopefully find a better one.. full time? library/school? I'm on a hunt.

moving on.

In other news... last week I read..

In the course of 2 days, with work and volunteering.. and sleep.. I read both these books. (read or devoured... basically the same gist.
They are FAN-TASTIC. I would recommend them to anyone. The third one comes out in August. (Mandy Jigs- I am so excited... you could say... over the moon.)

The librarian/media specialist that I volunteer for has been overwhelmed with the end of year book fair, inventory, and teaching her classes.. so I told her I could come in this last Thursday, when her class load was heavy- I thought she would just have me do inventory.. negative friends. She had me with the classes, with the kids- reading to them. I loved it. She told me that I had the experience with everything else and now I should get the experience in this area too. I had a 2nd, 4th, 6th grade classes, and 2 kindergarten classes. I am going in on Monday to help her out.. she calls it babysitting; while watch their end of year movie. That's really what it is. It'll be good.

Anyway... what else. Eh. I've got nothin'.

later, kids.

keep it secret... keep it safe....

okay. i'm not sure if you realize this, but I AM RIDICULOUS. i am coming to terms with my sad nature. should i explain? okay- if you insist.
i get really embarrassed about kind of stupid things, i have decided to come clean. there were times that people would come to my door, usually when i was up at school, and i would rush and hide whatever i was watching like i was doing something really bad.

it wasn't.

(((PLEASE NOTE!! this is over quite a few YEARS... it's not like this is what i have been doing in the last MONTH...)))

so where to begin...

alright. i'll start here. i am a SUCKER for super hero-anything- really. which is what STILL draws me to this stupid show, where clark is still the same annoying, one dimensional character that i love to make fun of. my dislike of superman i think helps the situation. BUT

it's these 2 characters that bring me back. fun fun characters that are more human and bearable to watch. let me tell you. sometimes i have a random burst of, wow i should catch up on smallville- mainly to see what's going on with chloe and oliver.

i admit it, i love this show! there is something so intriguing about fun, spunky female characters that totally kick trash that i find very compelling. i have to admit it goes a bit downhill in quite a few parts, but sometimes i am drawn to watch it. when i see it at the store for 15 bucks, i think; "wow, what a great deal.. i should get it." then i remember that i already own it.. (yea.. that's another thing i am admitting to..)

this is another one of those- girls kicking butt- kind of shows.... although i don't understand why it is necessary to have the LITTLEST AMOUNT OF CLOTHING ON to be able to do it. (me, rolling eyes.) thankfully, i don't own it, but there is an occasional afternoon on that random day that it's on, i am willing to laugh at it's ridiculousness and get caught up with what these stupid sisters are saving today.

stupid stupid show. their tag line? "heroes come from the most unexpected places." WRONG! WRONG! they aren't heroes- they spend 3 whole seasons trying to save themselves from getting chopped up into little pieces. yea, there's other stuff going on too, but still. why is this on the list? oh, because it's one of those stupid shows that sometimes intrigues me. blast. curse you marla for getting me to watch this.

to further excite my paranoia... my problem is usually with reality more so than supernatural, but why not fuel the fire. but really- they play some rockin' good tunes... (Joe Walsh, Bad Company, Kansas, Rush, Foreigner, etc)

one day the pilot was free on itunes... it's stupid, and typical abc family cheesy drama. really? you can't come up with anything original, you have to make a spin off from a MOVIE.. come on guys, we can do better.. and yet... christine and i watch it on occasion.

yea... i know... mind i didn't even watch this show when it first came out... i heard about it and "those dawson's river kids, jumping in and out of each others beds" (10 things i hate about you.. movie). but my dear friend, christine, convinced me one day to get a disc of it from itunes.. "sure, christine, sure. we'll watch your nonsense for an evening..."
but i kind of liked it for this character....

not this character... (teeheehee)

we like to make fun of dawson... which is actually, our main purpose in watching the show, (*i can only watch it WITH her*), is to make fun of the absurd dialogue, ludicrous story lines and then... there are the characters themselves. (lasta la laithamin-listen to my laughter... wow i'm a geek. yea.. that's elvish.)

due to me living with my sister for a chunk of time during the "camp rock" explosion, i have to admit, that i find it so fun. another note- everyone in the house, from adam (it's ok to admit, adam) down to cassidy, were all humming the song. kaylie had her crush on joe, cassidy with nick and i think brenden had a little crush on demi. now, their love has somewhat passed, but i don't mind the music.

which brings me to..

my brother is going to be SO appalled. this is very contrary to ANYTHING he has given me.. but i am always a fan of a good "belt it" song. she's got some good ones...

yea.. laugh it up.

ok. i have fulfilled my purpose. i wanted to update something. later kids.

"All that I know is what I've learned from trouble times.." The Classic Crime

A MONTH!? What the heck happened to APRIL!? Where is my time going? So yes. this is me updating my oddly pathetic existence, BUT it has gotten better as of late. ish. For example.

2nd week of April consisted of me going to Arizona for Derek's wedding. (YAY! AMAZING!) Kj, Christine, and I got up obscenely early and drove to Mesa. It was a crazy 4 days- let me tell you. But the end result was Derek marrying Teana. It was a beautiful wedding and they looked so happy. I am excited to have Teana part of our family. It was nice to see the fam. It is rare and far between that we are ALL able to be together at the same time, and those times are some of the most precious to me.
Pictures? Ok.. I do know the photographer. And Derek & Teana- I am confident that Kj will be sending you a disc of pictures soon. If not, I will be sure to remind her.. (nudge nudge)

This is my friend Annie from Colorado/Arizona...

I have put this picture everywhere as of late. I LOVE IT!! And holy smokes.. do we look like twinners or WHAT? Weird. . .

In other news..
Last weekend I got to go to this REALLY fantastic writers conference. It was kind of a spur of the moment kind of deal.. But I caught a few classes and it was FANTASTIC! I got to go to 2 classes. One on Setting/Description, one on Dialogue, and the other on The Heroes Journey, in writing your story. I am over the moon.. Next year, I am so going. Yes yes.

AAND! Colleen (sister) was in Utah for the genealogy conference up in SLC and I went up a few times and got to hang out with her and Jean.
We wandered Temple Square, she showed me where she and her husband would go when they used to love in Salt Lake- such as this AMAZING park in.. Sugar house? We had a picnic with our pathetically small panini's and diet coke. Hmm what else. We saw the Lightning Thief... Book is better- big shocker there.. (Hades was SO COOL in the book.. COME ON!)
AND we got to go to the conference center and hear the MoTab, President Eyring and David McCullough speak on family history and the importance of these records and what they mean to us. (etc.) I hope they come up with a transcript or something for that night, it was fantastic.

Anyway.. besides that... it's been work.. and work... libraries.. and then occasionally more work. I DID get written up at Payless this last week. YAY! What fun! She's such a fool.. Hell hath no fury.. like me after having to deal with her for any amount of time.. But.. there's news to come on that front that I just can't post right now.

This is getting too long.

Cat-chew-later. (smirk)

later, friends. i have a letter to write.
