*I luf projects. I'm on a big one at work that I took over from GSC. (I'm basically taking out old stuff, putting in new stuff and checking to make sure there is space for everything. So fun!) Which has been great... (i'm not even being sarcastic mostly) if random people would stop yammering on at me throughout the day...
I sit there and I listen and I tilt my head and zone out and start thinking...
Wow, this is so frustrating... Why won't she stop talking. Do I do this to people? Get to the point of the story!
Also, I'd rather be working than continuing this conversation.
Cause let's be honest... While no one is around I'm lip-syncing to my favorite songs. I'm dancing to myself. It's almost like my personal jam time! Shoot.
*I lost my filter. My nice filter. I still have my other filters. There are times when things just come spewing forth and there's no taking that back. It's not as bad as I think it is, but I surprise myself sometimes.
Looking for filter. It's gotta be around here somewhere.
*Watching excessive amounts of "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries" is overly addictive once you get a bit into it....
*I feel like the biggest liar sometimes. I've set people up in a trap that I myself cannot escape.
*BEKKI IS COMING! Dum dum DUMMMMMM!!! I'll see her next week
*I was talking to a buddy from work and he was commenting on how much he misses his parents. It was nice. I sat and thought of why I don't perpetually miss my siblings/parents, and the thought came to mind:
Ha, my family's stuck with me for eternity! suckers..
It was obviously a snarky day.
*Sometimes SS makes silly comments about various booze, and in some weird way of inclusion and teasing, he'll comment on me drinking. *note, i never have and never will.
His today was posing a scenario where they somehow get me to drink.
Eduardo would be upset. And his iguanas.
What SS doesn't know is that I'd quit and bolt in a second if it came anywhere near to that.
*Eduardo is apparently my fake boyfriend. I supposedly met him on craigslist. He is writing a dissertation on iguanas. SS made him up one day after a perplexed look and question of... do you date??
oy with the poodles. Yes! I just don't tell-you-about-it.
*I pulled out my guitar today. My fingers hurt. I'm pleased.
*I'm one of the "Discussion Group Leaders" for Sunday school this week. o.O (Wait.. I volunteered for this??) Basically we do 6 different groups rather than one class... There's a group leader that's gone over the lesson and leads discussion. Bam. Not too difficult.
It's on the kingdoms of glory.. (Doctrine and Covenants 76) and I was going over it on the bus today and here's the main conclusion I've drawn thus far. There is a loving God, a loving Father who prepared a way for His children to return and to be in a glorious place. I am grateful for that.
It's something I already know. It's just remembering.
*UW campus freaks me out at night. It's totally sketch. Not that I frequent there. I don't. My friend was over and she was thinking about just walking to campus and catching a bus from there. (It's not far.. a mile or a bit more) I prefer not. I found her a bus. I live far enough away, but it's still not some place I want to be.
*I love Doctor Who. I'm just sayin'.

Almost 15 years...
My friend blatantly called me out on some callous comments that I had been making.
Reaction, man! Reaction.. There's a line that has to be drawn I guess.
It's a way to cope. It's a way to fling off the sympathetic looks and the apologies. It happened. It's been a long time.
I'm dealing..
But there are those moments. I can't. That I'm not actually dealing. I feel ill that it might be perceived that my dear dad was less than he was. Everything I say about him is repetitive. I don't remember more. I cling to these memories. It's all I have. Thirteen is not particularly a solid foundation for more.
He told me he has no idea what I'm going through. Words I haven't heard in a long time because I feel like it's passed.. but ever present. It strikes when I least expect it. Like a random Sunday.
I miss my dad. I miss what might have been. There are memories on the precipice that I am desperately clinging to. I'm afraid to lose them, but they're slipping.
I hate admitting to this. Heck, I don't even know if this makes sense. Guess who doesn't care- oh this guy.
I've now dealt with the immediate shock of the evening. I'm going to bed.

Random Rant & Rave
For all logical purposes I've had a fantastic week.
But minor ranting never hurt anyone...
1. Texting faux pas. I'm texting a girl I've never met, trying to get her to sublet a room in my house and some texts I get from her have "wud" replacing "would" and "cud" replacing "could."I took it at first as fast texting. We all make that mistake, accidently throwing in words that you don't mean to. And I'll take it... Until it's repetitive, which it was.
Which makes me want to
A- bash my head into a wall
B- audibly groan
C- cry out asking for forgiveness for the damning of the English language.
I remember my 12th grade English teacher getting on our case because people didn't say the T in mountain. "Mauw-en"
Last but not least, other things that drive me nuts that people text.
LOL- the constant "laul-ing."Are you honestly "laughing out loud?" Woah! You're going crazy with the "LOL," you're going to hurt yourself! Calm down, it's not that funny!!!
K- Ah the one letter text that drove me especially nuts when I was paying for each text and for some reason was an indicator in MY brain that the person writing it is TICKED OFF enough to not actually complete the word or make a sentence. Thank you for wasting my time and money with your lame attempt to respond. I can do without.
YA- It apparently can replace "yea" and "you" and the like. Sometimes I have to re-read texts from people to understand what in the world they're saying? Yea or you? Oh, you're talking to ME, you mean to say YOU.. but for some reason it's harder for you to enter ONE MORE LETTER.
2- being used for "too" and "to" AND "two"
going 2 the store.
is she going 2?
I need 2.
Yea, that makes no sense.
Try again.
It's the ALOT thing all over again...
2- At work I'm a "packer." People pick orders and I pack them. It's absolutely not rocket science. So here I am packing a 4867 item order. Yea, it's a doozy. I'm on my 79th box and 4th pallet. But do you want to know what makes this particular order take even longer. The gent that picked it was either did it too quickly or secretly hates me, BECAUSE the boxes aren't in order according to the ticket. I'm digging through 7 different boxes that are around the number I'm on to find what comes next. Oh, and he accidently forgot to pick this item completely. *twitch twitch*
And if you say something to him he responds with "who say? who say?"
I say-dammit!
What's that other thing. I don't remember.
Then I have to deal with him randomly bursting into song to the tune that's on the radio, not the words but of "chicken sandwich" or "hot dog." Give me a call, I'll give you an example.
(I've been overly angry as of late. It's all spewing forth)
Good/funny things that happened this week.
We had an OR BBQ with some awesomely solid good food. Well done, sir. Well done. Krista and Trisha came... And Krista took it on herself to throw down some pick up lines towards one of my coworkers. (apparently she is far more bold when she has nothing to lose) Thankfully, I had warned him in advance... (although I wasn't expecting the pick up lines..) And he's perfected a stone faced silence and didn't turn bright red, as he normally would. Empathy girl attack, I was embarrassed all around. Lesson learned- my worlds shouldn't collide.
Chocolati! I love this place! A group of us went and I may have lost it. I became uber chatty cathy for a good hour talking about musicals and rambling on nonsensically. It's funny when that happens.
Library: Go to return one, come out an hour later with 6. Nice. I love my local library.
Patty has officially filed her divorce papers. ALL HAIL! The day has finally arrived! Well.. Officially 90 days from now but still!
Thursday (now): I went to a production of Hairspray at the 5th Avenue Theatre with my coworker Chelsea. She got free tickets and invited me along. We went and grabbed a bite at this cafe/diner place and went to a show. It was a lot of fun. Suddenly I just want to dance and sing all-night-long. (actually that's false. i'm tired and want to go to bed.)
Friday (expecting a good time) - LDS Mariners Night. Bunch of my friends are going.
Weekend: WAYSAC (Washington Young Single Adult Conference) It's like EFY... but not at all. Classes, activities, dance and a gathering of 800+... That is actually a lot like EFY... Huh...
Yike. Ah, Friday. I've been looking for you.

I have a dear friend...
Her name is Tessa K. Hutt. She's leaving on Sunday. Potentially forever. First step Utah... Next step New Zealand for her mission.. and then the rest of her life. And of course I'll be on my way with mine. But let me tell you, she is one of those quality top-notch people. You want to be around her. Her happiness and laugh are infectious. There have been the best evenings spent coming back from an event and sitting in her car for a couple hours just talking. Hashing out life and crap going on. Talking in the most horrendous British (?) accents that could ever be imagined.. We've gone to festivals and got lost on various adventures. I was her buddy when she was going to the temple every week.
We've established that she's like a fine wine, only getting better with time. (But really what would we know about that...) There have been nights that I've stayed up to all hours just talking to her. I've never regretted the exhaustion at work the next day. She are so much alike and distinct opposites.
(This was pointed out to us when we had our aura read at the frozen custard place up the street... )
She's been a solid friend, a source of sanity in dark times, and her friendship has meant the world. She seems to think that not much will change with her departure. There is no one like her. I will miss her terribly, but I'm grateful for those moments..
