I saw this thing online before thanksgiving about reading the New Testament in 40 days. I thought, AWESOME! There is a daily reading schedule and everything... That will be by New Years and I haven't read it front to back. And then standard Amanda behavior happened... Procrastination and distraction. I had a touch of inspiration, however, to do it audio at work. I listen to books and stuff all day, I might as well use it properly... I finagled how many chapters in each book, stuck it on a little sticky and had it in front of me to remind me of what my goal was. Each day was sectioned off to what needed to be listened to per day.
I am happy to say that I finished the book of Revelation this morning. I am really pleased with this, especially since it was done in 15 work days. It's been kind of awesome to set aside a couple hours of my work day listening to the scriptures. I'd like to continue it.
Book of Mormon by my birthday. That's next.

I swear I'm going to bed in a minute..
But I need to take a moment...
And express how grateful I am for my friends. I keep having these cynical thoughts about silly things and then I think- wow, that's not really good for the season! It IS Christmas after all...
And then about twenty minutes ago I heard from Christine. Even a message saying that she's crazy busy and will talk to me soon....
And I heard back from Ruth who is willing to help me out. It got me thinking about my friends, my family. I am very blessed. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude.

shh. dont tell
BUT! This was my first actual paying photo gig. I'm a little alarmed actually that someone would ask me to take their pictures BUT! Here I am and I survived the encounter and so did they. HUZZAH.
It's amazing what a good lens and solid locations can do. THAT is my opinion.
I took 300 pics I'm thinking... I have it narrowed down to 80 or so.. (o.O)
** and the next bit is just randomness playing with the camera lens I rented. **
AND I'M OUT!
