So I have to preface this with a visual. I got this onesie for Christmas. It's pale pink with a hood... The hood has a mouse face, ears and a nose that squeaks. This onesie also has a tail. A tail. I havent worn this much pink ever in my life, but here I am. Why? Because it's very warm and I am very cold.
So the phone rings today- it's the phone to the buzzer outside, and my vague recollection is someone wanting to check something. I thought it was the energy guy wanting to check the numbers in the hallway downstairs. Nope. This guy was checking the water. Which means he wanted inside my flat. So there I stand, opening the door, in my pink mouse onesie. Mind, I don't have the hood on my HEAD but STILL! Did I mention the big white heart in the center of it? Because that is there too. I stood, in sight mortification and amusement as this guy does a
"oh... did I wake you?"
"no.. no... " And then I walk up the stairs. And remember the tail.. And mortification returns. He does his business and leaves... but I still have a residual amusement about the whole thing.
In other news. It's February. The month of birthdays. At least mine and Bekki's. IT'S A BIG ONE!!!
I am turning 30. Bekki is turning 40.
I have a list going of thirty things to do this month. I am going to list them except the ones that involve other people because that would ruin the friggin surprise.

My friend Holly is a legit cake maker and she said that she would make me a cake.. And after some fishing for flavors, we settled on a lavender/lemon concoction. Gosh, I am so excited.
I have some reading to do AND I am going to go see Shakespeare in Love tonight. The play. Not the movie. We shall see how that turns out.

In other news- the Johnson's were here. Which was such a treat. You have no idea. I have been in a dark place this winter and it was amazing to see familiar faces. I met them when I was 13.. So.. yea. I've known them a while. I don't think they will ever realize how significant that moment was, even in passing. Anyway. So there is that.
It is already February. Where does time go? I remember talking to Brenda before I left about how quick the time would go. And it has. Holy CRAP has it gone by quickly. It's on the upswing and I am floored.
Because people are coming.
