Dear Mrs. Tew,
It is my understanding that there is a possible opening in your 'friend queue' and I would like to be considered among the many applicants that are clamoring to be apart of this select group. This is my official friend request.
I realize that distance could be considered a hinderance in my application but I assure you that this will not be the case. My satirical wit, banter and stories can be conveyed with the same zing through space and time. I also add a healthy dose of nonsense that is important to have in ones life to be able to get through the hum-drum of every day. My knowledge of books, music and movies are top notch. In these troubled times, I also bring to every friendship the strongest of loyalties, to the point of death. Other peoples death if they don't have the good sense to remain loyal.
I appreciate your time and consideration. Upon meeting, I will have a mixed cd of some quality tunes and if necessary, a list of references at your request.

I submitted my request months ago...I'm not sure what it means if I don't hear anything. Target at least sent a postcard when they didn't want me.

Please be advised that Mrs. Tew has received said request and is taking it under consideration.
She has however taken ill and is wondering if she didn't catch your cold from you via your first meeting using skype. If this is the case, I fear that will result in immediate denial.
