Happy Easter

I love love love when Easter falls on conference weekend. What an amazing gift to hear the words of prophets on the weekend that we celebrate the risen Lord. I am so stoked to listen and read it again, because I usually miss something.
My sister put this really great quote on our family website, and I wanted to post it here.
“Everything depended on Him- His atoning sacrifice. That was the key. That was the keystone in the arch of the great plan which the Father had brought forth for the eternal life of His sons and daughters. Terrible as it was to face it, and burdensome as it was to realize it, He faced it, he accomplished it, and it was a marvelous and wonderful thing. It is beyond our comprehension, I believe. Nevertheless, we glimpse it in small part and must learn to appreciate it more and more and more.”
President Gordon B. Hinckley
But I woke up this morning to a basket outside my door with various fruit and vegetables- egg shaped. Mango, avocado, tomato, lemon & limes, plus some candy. It's so weird to me to be away from my family during holidays. Although I realize that even if I were home it wouldnt be the same, because everyone has grown up and have other traditions. And now I am living with other peoples traditions and conform. They aren't bad ones, just unfamiliar. I miss my family. (and once again, this is where Bekki would pipe in that I CHOSE to move away and to Utah. Yea yea. And I still would choose to be here, just let me have my forlorn moment.)

Ok- why the picture? I remember getting kites for Easter. (so i got some friends kites.. teeheehee) Of course, Dad had these fancy cool ones, one of which hung in his office downstairs. Spring is the time for kites. beginning of summer and all. Anyway. I am going to AZ this week, and I am so excited to see everyone. And it's Derek & Teana's wedding, which I am beyond stoked to see.
in other news... i love this show.

plus.. he's ADORABLE!! yea, i'm a dork..
the end. i am so excited for this week.
