More Notes, November 3-10

*To whom it may concern, concerning employment:
-do not wear the lowest cut shirt as humanly possible for the interview. it makes things awkward for both the interviewer and the other interview-ees.
-when leaving a job interview, it might be wise NOT to mention to the possible future employer that you are going to go home and sleep to get over your hangover.
-when interviewing for work, dont call up the employer and try to reschedule because its your birthday that day, and you just cant muster the 20 minutes it might take to get a potential job. She won't call you back.

*to whom it may concern, concerning election week:
there have been many protests outside LDS Temples this week. Salt Lake, Oakland, and LA temples, and who knows if there are more. (Angry about Prop 8) What good is it to to stand outside these buildings and shout obscenities at those who are either coming or working at the temple. Doing this will not rile anyone to seriously fight against you. And isnt it hypocritical to attack a particular and specific religious sect because they dont agree with your views, especially since there were more churches involved. I dont understand the logic behind the protests.

*church:
i really like my ward. kind of. i dont know many people, and those that I do know, not really well enough to make me ueber comfortable with those present. I am in charge of the RS Newsletter which is fantastic because this is really my way of getting more involved with the people around me. One of my visiting teachers, Megan, was the sunday school teacher today and she was fantastic. The best kind of teacher and I wish she would teach more often.

*training with Bath and Body works:
I cant remember if I mentioned it before. It was three hours of grueling video watching and filling in the happy booklet. These chicks in the video are ridiculously chipper. Like, hi I am also on medication kind of chipper. I dont have a problem with the whole customer service deal, but in the video, these (excessively chipper) saleswomen would offer some lotion and massage it into their customer's hands. I sat there watching the video and all I could think was how much I really dont want to be touched by strangers, and how there was no way in heck i would agree to this nonsense. And now I am the one that gets to invade other peoples personal space? Heaven help us all.

*I went down to the school this week and filled out some paperwork to volunteer at the book fair. (I used to always love book fairs). I have some time to do it and think that it would go over well. PLUS which I thought about it, this might be a TOTAL AMAZING IN, cause usually the fairs are in the library which means I will be in happy contact with the school librarian. (my future self) ha ha.

i am officially bored now with this post.
farewell friends

Ewww.. do you really have to rub your customers down with lotion??? Please note that I have never had anyone rub lotion on me when I came in to a Bath and Body works and I hope it never happens!!!

Have a FANTASTIC week!

Jeeze I love you.
You're going to be the perfect bath&body worker though--because you know about personal space, and your coolness mixed with the right kind of snarky- is going to help those exausted moms getting that last minute gift for thier kid's teacher, and the teeny-boppers trying to smell older than they are.

Plus, you've got snappy banter stored up from who knows how many different tv shows. This my friend, is going to be great.

Please tell me your store has surviellence so when all this is over, I can send the tapes to Hollywood, and you can get your own show?

Thanks for your comment. Those bugs are so gross. I am glad that my pest control man is regular at my house! :) We missed you at booty camp this morning. Feel better!
